Solatumfarma is a medical device company marketing a niche portfolio of high-quality products across everyday therapy and treatment areas. We currently have successful product solutions in urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and wound management and we are continuously evaluating new products that bring new value to an existing treatment area. Our management team has long-standing experience in national and multi-national pharmaceuticals across a wide range of therapy areas. They have particular expertise in sourcing high-quality products across multiple markets, including market access and pricing, distribution and maintaining a consistent and reliable product supply. This is played out through the ethos of our company where our vision is to market high-quality, proven healthcare products that enhance the management of everyday conditions – clinically, practically and economically. The Solatumfarma name is derived from the Latin, Solatium, meaning comfort, which also inspires our core commitments. These are:

Management team

D. Bruce Murdoch,
Bruce holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Nottingham University and has spent over 47 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields. After his time as a management trainee with Rhone-Poulenc (May & Baker) he spent over 30 years in Asia with AstraZeneca, Pharmacia (Pfizer) and Schering-Plough (Merck) as Marketing Director, General Manager and Regional VP. Bruce has managed full marketing and manufacturing operations in Thailand, China, Japan, Indonesia and India. Bruce also was responsible for full commercial and investment decisions in Asia as Regional VP. More recently he was CBO with Avesthagen in India developing a series of MAbs for international markets.
Antony Twyford,
Marketing Director
Antony has more than 40 years’ experience in sales and marketing ethical pharmaceuticals in the UK and Europe. He has held senior positions in Solvay, Bristol Myers Squibb, Yamanouchi and Astellas in sales and marketing. Antony has also worked as a strategy and marketing consultant with experience throughout the EMEA and South America. He has advised major companies on product licensing and building marketing strategies to match customer developments including sales and marketing capability development. For the past few years he has worked as a Consultant to a number of start-up companies and has been involved in in-licensing products, development of strategy, sales force start-ups and commercial management. Antony has an in-depth knowledge of the UK and other European markets and has excellent contacts amongst key opinion leaders in a number of therapy areas in teaching hospitals. He has qualifications in applied biology and pharmacology, and also in marketing.
Anil Sharma,
Anil worked for over 20 years in some of the leading Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies in various capacities within sales, marketing and corporate management in India and UK. Anil is keenly interested in working synergistically with his partners to create significant value for the stakeholders.Building a successful organisation, with strategic management and a clear focus is what motivates Anil. At present he is a Director of and an Investor in several International Companies with diverse business interests.
Jag Ahluwalia,
Jag Ahluwalia is a successful pharmaceutical executive who has been in the industry for over 30 years mainly concentrating on global Regulatory Affairs, Quality Affairs, Research and Development and Manufacturing operations. Jag has held multiple leadership positions in global pharmaceutical companies such as Ranbaxy, PLIVA/BARR ( now TEVA), Xellia Pharmaceuticals, NRIM and Primegen. As part of the leadership team, Jag has successfully divested the latter two companies for significant returns to their investors.
